# 8 Indian Design Agencies for US Startups (2026)

> Eight Indian design studios compared for US-incorporated SaaS teams, with named US clients, US offices, overlap hours, and who each is not a fit for.

## The short answer

Eight Indian studios show real US experience in 2026: [turingLabs](/), YUJ Designs, NetBramha, F1Studioz, Ungrammary, Onething, Lollypop and Octet. Only the first five publish named US clients. Onething, YUJ, Lollypop and Octet list US offices. If you want senior designers embedded in a US SaaS team, [turingLabs](/) and YUJ offer it; the rest work on projects.

## Key takeaways

- Five of the eight studios name US clients on their own sites. Onething, Lollypop and Octet name Indian or global brands instead.
- Four studios list a US office: Onething (San Francisco), YUJ (Sunnyvale), Lollypop (San Jose, Dallas, Salt Lake City) and Octet.
- A normal Indian working day ends before a US East Coast day begins. Overlap only exists if the studio shifts its hours, so ask which ones.
- Hourly rates on Clutch for Indian studios sit mostly at $25 to $99, against $100 to $199 for the US studios on the same listing.

**Disclosure:** [turingLabs](https://www.turinglabs.in/) wrote this list and is one of the studios on it. Our entry follows the same template as the others, and we say where a studio's site does not back up a claim we expected to make. Facts were read on each studio's own site on Oct 28, 2026.

## Short answer

A US SaaS company that wants a studio in India has eight sensible names to start with: [turingLabs](https://www.turinglabs.in/), YUJ Designs, NetBramha, F1Studioz, Ungrammary, Onething, Lollypop and Octet.

Which one fits depends on what you need:

- **Senior designers inside your product team:** [turingLabs](https://www.turinglabs.in/) and YUJ Designs.
- **A US office you can call:** Onething, YUJ Designs, Lollypop and Octet.
- **Design plus front-end code from one team:** F1Studioz and Lollypop.
- **Research before design, for a large company:** NetBramha and YUJ Designs.

One thing we did not expect. When we read the eight sites, only five named a US client at all. A US office does not mean US clients, and a long logo wall does not mean the work was for your kind of company.

## What to check before hiring a studio in India

Design quality is rarely the problem. These studios have worked for Google, Adobe, Microsoft and The Home Depot. The problems are practical, and most show up in the first month.

1. **Which hours they keep.** India has no daylight saving and sits at UTC+5:30. The next section works out what that means for your calendar.
2. **Two US references at your stage.** Ask for two US customers of similar size and call both. A studio that cannot give them has not done this before.
3. **Who signs, and under which law.** Ask which legal entity is on the contract, which country's law governs it, and whether you get a full IP assignment. Put it in writing before the first sprint.
4. **How you are invoiced.** Studios with an Indian entity normally invoice in US dollars. Ask whether your invoice will carry any Indian tax (see the FAQ), and expect to fill in a US tax form for the studio.
5. **Who does the work.** Ask whether the people on the sales call will be on your project, and how many hours a week of their time you are buying.

## What the time difference means for your calendar

IST is UTC+5:30 all year. US daylight time ends on Sunday Nov 1, 2026. After that India is 10.5 hours ahead of New York and 13.5 hours ahead of San Francisco. Until then it is 9.5 and 12.5.

Here is the same morning in both places, from Nov 1:

| US time | In India |
|---|---|
| 9:00 am Eastern | 7:30 pm |
| 12:00 noon Eastern | 10:30 pm |
| 6:00 am Pacific | 7:30 pm |
| 9:00 am Pacific | 10:30 pm |

A normal Indian office day of 9:30 am to 6:30 pm ends at 8:00 am in New York, an hour before your team starts. So any overlap is a choice the studio makes. A team that works until 10:30 pm gives you 9 am to noon Eastern, or 6 am to 9 am Pacific, which is the very start of a West Coast day.

That is why the question is not "do you work US hours", which every studio answers yes to. Ask which days and which hours, who stays late, and whether it is the same two people every week. Two to three shared hours with one named designer tends to work better than a promise of full coverage that rotates.

## How we chose

Each studio had to have its team in India and show either work for named US companies or an office in the US. We took every fact from the studio's own website or its public Clutch profile, and we only count a client as named if the studio names it in text or a case study. Logos in a banner with no case study behind them were not counted.

## The studios

### turingLabs

India and Dubai · Sprint, Embedded and Fractional Design Head engagements

[turingLabs](https://www.turinglabs.in/) works with product teams at Series A and B software companies, mostly where the product is hard: financial planning, procurement, fraud and risk, and agentic workflows. We embed senior designers in the team and work on strategy, systems, copy and interface together.

- **US clients:** [Drivetrain](https://www.turinglabs.in/work/drivetrain), an FP&A platform for US finance teams, won G2 Best Usability (Winter 2025) after our redesign. We were [Effectiv](https://www.turinglabs.in/work/effectiv)'s sole design team for three years, until Socure acquired it for $136 million. We run design for [Spendflo](https://www.turinglabs.in/work/spendflo) as a design lead plus an embedded designer, and we redesigned how employees find benefits at Inclusively.
- **Starting price:** USD 5000 for a sprint on one core workflow
- **Less suited to:** consumer apps, brand or website-only projects, and teams that need the whole product built.
- **Overlap:** agreed client by client, not a fixed window. Tell us your team's hours in the first call and we will say what we can keep.
- **Standups:** in embedded and fractional work, our founder joins them along with the designers on your project.

### YUJ Designs

Pune and Sunnyvale · enterprise products and design systems

YUJ designs complex enterprise software and runs embedded design teams that extend a client's own. Its site says it offers enterprise speed without needing people onshore, and lists a separate page for US clients.

- **Clients:** Honeywell, Otis, Wayfair, Avis and Hitachi
- **Less suited to:** seed and Series A budgets.

### NetBramha Studios

India · 18+ years · research-led

NetBramha starts with user research and product strategy and says it has worked with 250+ clients in 25+ countries. It won a Red Dot award in 2024 and holds a 4.9 on Clutch. Its site gives no office addresses, so for a US team this is a fully remote relationship.

- **Clients:** Google, Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, UiPath and McKinsey
- **Less suited to:** quick fixes to a single flow.

### F1Studioz

India · founded 2012 · enterprise and AI products

F1Studioz designs enterprise software and SaaS and can carry the design into front-end code in React, Angular or Vue. For a US team short on front-end engineers, that saves a handoff. Its site does not say where its offices are.

- **Clients:** The Home Depot, NASDAQ, Siemens Energy and Deutsche Telekom
- **Less suited to:** seed-stage MVPs on a tight budget.

### Ungrammary

Mumbai · fintech, SaaS and health

Ungrammary works remotely with clients abroad. One caution from its own case studies: the Adobe work was UX research on paid subscriptions in the Indian market, with recommendations for Adobe's US product team. That is still US-facing work, but ask what the engagement looked like day to day.

- **Clients:** Brooks Running, VMware, Adobe and REDCap Cloud
- **Less suited to:** deep B2B operations tooling outside finance.

### Onething Design

Gurugram, Bengaluru and San Francisco · brand, product and CX

Onething puts branding, product design and customer experience in one team, and its site says most focused UX projects take 8 to 12 weeks. It lists a San Francisco address and holds a 4.9 on Clutch. The clients it names are mostly Indian brands such as Royal Enfield, Healthkart and HDFC, plus Norton. Ask who is based at the San Francisco office.

- **Less suited to:** teams that want one senior designer embedded day to day.

### Lollypop Design Studio

Bengaluru, with offices in San Jose, Dallas and Salt Lake City · 180+ people

Lollypop belongs to Terralogic and covers research, design and development, with staff across India, the US, the UAE and Vietnam. It says it has worked with 1,000+ clients. The case studies on its site are mostly Indian companies such as Upstox and SBI Caps.

- **Less suited to:** teams that want a small, senior boutique team.

### Octet Design Studio

Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and the US · SaaS and B2B focus

Octet contracts through a US company, Octet Design Solutions Inc., which some US buyers prefer for paperwork. It focuses on SaaS, enterprise and B2B products and offers either projects or dedicated designers who work only on your product.

- **Clients:** Trackier, Nirvana and CSL
- **Less suited to:** brand-led or campaign work.

## What it costs compared with a US studio

Few of these studios publish prices, so Clutch is the only common yardstick. On its UI/UX listings, the Indian studios we saw sit in the $25 to $49 and $50 to $99 an hour bands. NetBramha is in the second. The US studios on the equivalent listing sit mostly in $100 to $149 and $150 to $199. Treat these as self-reported ranges read on Oct 28, 2026, and compare total project quotes rather than hourly rates.

For our own work, a sprint on one workflow starts at USD 5000, an embedded senior designer starts at USD 4000 a month, and fractional design leadership at USD 10000 a month.

If you are still deciding between India and elsewhere, our list of [product design agencies in India for B2B SaaS](https://www.turinglabs.in/blog/b2b-saas-product-design-agencies-india) covers ten studios by stage and price.

## FAQ

### Will an Indian studio work US hours?

Some of them, for part of the day. Plan on a shared window of two to four hours, and ask which hours and which people. Full US-hours coverage means the studio staffs a late shift, and that costs more.

### Can I sign a US-law contract?

Many will agree to it, and some, like Octet, contract through a US entity. Ask for a full IP assignment and an NDA in the first call, and confirm which entity signs.

### Do I pay Indian tax?

Not usually, if the studio has an Indian entity. Services supplied from India to a client abroad and paid for in foreign currency are generally treated as exports and are zero-rated under GST, so no Indian tax is added to the invoice. The conditions are specific, so ask the studio how it files, and check withholding and forms with your accountant.

### Is one Indian freelancer a better idea?

For a small, well-defined job, possibly. For a complex product, a studio gives you review, continuity and cover when one person is out.

### How do I check a studio's US references?

Ask for two customers of similar size, named and reachable, and ask each what the working hours were like in practice.
